The weather could not have been more perfect, the sun was shining, the beach was empty and the venue – well, don’t get me started on the venue!
Kate and Marc celebrated their special day along side 45 close family and friends at the recently refurbished The Nielsen at Vaucluse, a stunning venue positioned within Nielsen Park in Vaucluse, Sydney. The Nielsen is home to two great wedding venues – Kate and Marc chose ‘The Restaurant”, a beautifully intimate venue with gorgeous views and access to the beach. This venue is incredible for small, intimate weddings and the surrounding park provides ample options for an outdoor ceremony and photos. There is also “The Pavilion” which is available for exclusive hire and I would assume accommodates slightly larger crowds, compared to The Restaurant.
Full disclosure – Marc is actually my cousin-in-law, and Kate is now my brand new cousin! Kate and I spent hours drinking wine and scrolling through Pinterest, developing the perfect styling for their special day. I always feel the pressure to deliver an incredible event, no matter who the couple is, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel a teeeeeeeny bit more with this wedding. Both Kate and Marc are super dooper chilled, and to have them trust me with their wedding was such a privilege. BUT the beauty of styling your family’s wedding is that you actually get to ENJOY it afterwards. It was such a thrill to actually kick back after a long days work and enjoy a couple of vinos with the gorgeous couple amongst your own work.
And a big shout out must go to my hubby, who was up at all hours and passing me bits and pieces, setting up ladders, blah blah blah right along side me.
