Dunbar House, Watsons Bay, Sydney.
Cast your mind back to January 2015 (side note: can you believe we are almost half way though this year already?!). It was a beautiful, summers day in Sydney, the stunning Dunbar House at Watsons Bay set the scene, and I had the pleasure of flowering all of Luce and Dan’s wedding. I’ve known Luce for a few years now thanks to a mutual friend and her easy going nature and bubbly smile is infectious – she would have to be the most laid back bride I have ever met. After a couple of emails and chats about all things wedding, we had a straightforward brief in mind for the big day. Simple, white hand tied bouquets for the bridesmaids and a ‘pop’ of colour for the bride. The original plan was for pink hydrangeas but for some reason, blue was the only thing on offer that week at the markets, so sweet William was brought in as a substitute. Along with dahlias, roses and the odd lisuathua.
The reception decor included an array of mismatched candles scattered on tables and some rustic milk bottle vases bound with twine, adorned with a mix of baby’s breath, spray roses and ageratum. Oh, and all the tables were named after suburbs in New York. Perfection! And can we all just stop and admire Luce’s dress for a few moments please? Wow.
Thanks Luce and Dan involving me in your big day!
I truly can’t thank you enough, everything you did was perfect and beyond anything I could have dreamed of! Thank you a million times over – Lucinda & Daniel
