I have known Roslyn for many, many years and she is quite possibly one of the funniest gals I have ever met! Roz and Kurits have been together for a long time – high school sweethearts. And when we sat down over breakfast to talk about their upcoming wedding, I was graced with the story of how their engagement came to be. After years and years dating, buying a house together, expanding their family to include a gorgeous pup, the idea of marriage still hadn’t come up. Until one leap year, when Roz was told how it was ‘acceptable’ for a woman to propose to a man on the one extra day of the year. Except, when she did propose, Kurtis said no! Because he was already planning it himself and less than 12 hours later, he got down on one knee.
Roz and Kurits were married at the newly refurbished Macquarie Links Golf Course in Sydney’s west, and I must say her style was absolutely perfect! I love when a bride comes to me and says ‘ do what you want, but if you bring me a tight bouquet of red roses, I will throw them at you!’. See, I told you she was bloody funny!
Congrats Roz and Kurits! It was such a pleasure to be a part of your wedding!
